The Dancer

The dancer dances
An emerald flame
I’ve seen her face in many disguises
I know her name

And when I’m in this state of mind
I want to forget myself
I want reality to break down
I want no distinctions left

See her body bending
Blithe in the way it flows
Feel her passion burning
Indifferent to where it goes

And when she’s in this state of mind
She wants to forget herself
She wants reality to break down
She can think of nothing else

She doesn’t want to laugh about it
She doesn’t want to speak
She wants that fire
The chilling desire
Cavorting her to her feet

SOLO

The dancer dances
An emerald flame
I’ve seen her face in many disguises
I know her name

And when she’s in this state of mind
I want to forget myself
Let Dionysus run wild
I want no distictions left
I don’t want to talk about it
I don’t want to fight
I want that fire
That chilling desire
Cavorting me with it’s might
